The European Rolfing Association ERA supports Scientific Research
The European Rolfing Association ERA is supporting scientific research about effects, effectiveness and therapeutic mechanisms of the Rolfing method:
- in the physiological and medical domains
- in the field of health promotion
- in the psychological and social domains
- in the fields of anthropology and philosophy.
In the category Rolfing Research you can find lists of publications out of all four research areas. Research events and proposals/grants are announced under News.
In the physiological and medical realms the clinically experienced data of Rolfers are supported by the actual results of the worldwide Fascia Research. The European Rolfing Association ERA was co-organizing the
First International Fascia Research Congress at the Harvard Medical School in Boston 2007. This Fascia Congress was positively noticed internationally, you will even find a detailed report in the respected scientific magazine "Science" (
article, PDF). The
Second International Fascia Research Congress will again be supported by the ERA.
Dr. biol.hum. Robert Schleip, recently awarded with the Vladimir-Janda-Award, is Research Director of the European Rolfing Association. A Scientific Advisory Board of renowned researchers is currently forming.
