In today's world people use their hands and arms in a different way than in the time of Dr. Rolf.
Down the line of teaching arms seem to have been lost out of view in the contemporary version of the 10 series.
In this workshop, we explore the arms as a unity from fingertips to shoulders. The intention is to find ways to include arms and hands in other sessions of the classical 10 series. We will look at joints as well as fascial and myofascial structures, include movement and explore the natural range of motion. Alignment of joints and therewith the health of arms in their relationship to the neck and upper body we tend to miss out that not only the release of tissue helps to reach this goal. Sometimes the healthy tone of muscles is missing to provide strength, strength that has no effort in it. We will explore some „selfhelp” tools for maintaining our Rolfer hands and arms in healthy condition.
Those exercises might also be useful in your Rolfing® practice.
During this workshop, you will give a full-length „Arm-Session” to one other participant and also observe and give a full-length arm session to an outside client.
